Interesting climbing areas

I want to encourge you to go for climbing at least one time in your life. Firstly, you can go to indoor climbing wall, and secondly to the rocks. If you want to climb rocks you should visit one of a climbing area in “Jura Północna”, Area Podkrakowska, Śnieżne Kotły, Tatry or many others. Sokoliki is the nearest, climbing area, to Poznań (about 290 kms). Every polish climber is waiting for the ending of winter and starting a new climbing season. But if you can take days off from your work or university, you can go to Spain, Italy or Greece where there are a lot of rocks which are not reached by you!

I have never been abroad to climbing yet but I’m planning to go to Gandia or Chulilla – a very beautiful and interesting climbing area nearby Valencia.

Bouldering

Other form of rock climbing is bouldering. It is said that bouldering is a climbing a rock in the most tough way. You don’t have to use neither rope nor harness. You can wear only special climbing shoes and it’s recommended to use magnesia. After reach a top you jump to mattress. In Poznań there are a few places when you can train, for example Blok House or Climbing Spot. I think it’s a good complementary training of the classical climbing. You can bring to perfection your technique and tone your muscles. In addition to training, it’s a good occasion to spend your free time instead of channel swimming or sitting on the coach.
